December 2007 Issue

Dear Reader,

One of the many unique aspects of our school is our incredible array of guest speakers—the who's who of medicine, nutrition and wellness, from authors to scientists, inspirational speakers to health professionals. We even have 8 famous physicians who speak at our school.

We are always seeking fresh and inspiring ways to motivate our students to learn and be part of the health revolution.

Some speakers discuss the benefits of raw food, while others discuss the benefits of cooked food. Some say to avoid dairy, while others say dairy is vital. Each one of them offers a new perspective and we welcome the ongoing dialogue. Ultimately, we teach that no one diet is right for everyone; it's all about the individual, the biology, genetics, gender, culture and lifestyle.

Recently, the one and only Dr. Mehmet Oz spoke with our students. He loved our school and we will very likely have him back again next year.

Dr. Oz is a regular guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show and the author of many best sellers, including You: The Owner's Manual and You: On a Diet.

The mission of his organization, HealthCorps, is to educate American youth about the workings and wonders of their bodies through in/after school seminars on diet, nutrition and exercise.

This mission is very closely aligned with ours, and we hope that together we can all play a crucial role in improving health and happiness in America and through that process transform the world.

Please join us to help make our dreams a reality. Together we can do this.

Happy Holidays,
