Health is a vehicle, not a destination. There is more to excellent health than just feeling good. Normally when we are feeling low, dealing with a medical problem or trying to lose weight, we think of health as a goal - something to achieve. Of course, good physical health is an important goal, but if we simply stop there, without exploring further and deeper, we run the risk of missing out on so much more. Robust health allows us to be in the world and achieve things with our life that we wouldn't be able to if we were tired or sick.

Ask yourself, why be healthy? What would you do with your life if you became healthy? How would you use this gift to enhance your life and the lives of those around you? What would happen if you experienced high-level wellness most of the time? If strength, flexibility, endurance and clear thinking were readily available?

Sadly, most people eat the Standard American Diet (SAD), shop at supermarkets, eat out a majority of the time and graze on packaged snack foods throughout the day. Those who switch to a natural foods diet and lifestyle begin dancing to the beat of a different drummer. We start to think and feel quite differently than others. As our daily diet changes, our blood quality also begins to change. We naturally see the world from a different perspective than those who are eating fast food and supermarket foods.

In my experience, natural food eaters tend to be smarter, healthier, clearer and more in touch with themselves and the natural rhythms of life than people who are eating junk food. By sharing our knowledge, our light and our beauty, we are the people who have the potential to step out and create change in the world.
