Is TellSpec About to Change the Food Industry? [VIDEO]

Technology has transformed the way we live—for better and for worse—and yet it hasn’t been able to combat the ongoing global health crisis. That might be about to change.

A new device called TellSpec provides a simple way for consumers to learn the truth about the food they’re putting into their bodies. By simply pointing the device at any edible item, consumers can learn the nutrient content and ingredients of their food, including any chemicals, allergens, or additives that might be cleverly disguised on the nutrition label.

This breakthrough might be the tool we needed to fight back against the cagey and powerful food industry, which tends to value profits over health. Now, consumers have a way to cut through the legal loopholes and clever marketing techniques of big companies. This could not only help people avoid weight gain, but also cut out dangerous chemicals, pesticides, and carcinogens that might be lurking in the aisles of the grocery store.
