Job: Founder of The Whole Journey, a clinical and holistic nutrition company.

Childhood ambition: To be a veterinarian.

Favorite foods: Mary's Crackers with half of an avocado and sea salt or spelt pretzels. I also like brown rice with tamari and toasted sesame oil.

Favorite activity outside of work: Yoga and international travel.

Wildest dream: I have too many to count! Having a flexible, bohemian kind of life where I can spend 3-4 months out of theyear in other countries while also maintaining my business is pretty high on my list.

Biggest challenge: Overwhelm!

Health concerns I've cleared up: Digestive health and hormonal health. Adrenal fatigue is probably the biggest one, but now I can help others from a place of great compassion.

Nutrition education is important because: We have no idea how good we can feel and how amazing life can be when we eat and live well.

What I love about Integrative Nutrition: Everything! I would not have the thriving career I have without IIN and their amazing approach to health counseling. IIN is the only school that truly customizes health and nutrition to the individual. I LOVE their primary food approach and how their program invites a total change of perspective around not only nutrition, but all aspects of life.

About My Practice

In addition to seeing clients, I also: Lead grocery store tours, teach cooking classes, do in-home intensives. I am also writing a book and running a healthy product review site.

What I love about what I do: Everything. There is no separation between who I am and what I do. I was born to do this work. I am healthier, happier and more successful than I've ever been.

How I am making a difference in my community: Teaching others how to live a healthy, vibrant life on both a small scale with clients and also on a larger scale by lecturing locally and leading grocery store tours.

My greatest success so far: Being able to help really sick people who have spent thousands of dollars and many years going through the Western medicine loop, not able to figure out what was wrong with them. Being a guide and helping them get their lives back is a great reward.

In the future, I see myself: Leading nationwide home intensives with a team of other health counselors stationed in different cities, having a published book on prenatal and pregnancy nutrition that can change kids’ health, and too many other things to list here!

The message I want to get out: Follow your heart. It knows the way. Life is too short not to do what you love. You can make an enormous difference in this world.

My favorite inspirational quote:We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”—Marianne Williamson
