Job: Holistic Health & Weight Loss Coach.
Favorite snack food: Blue corn tortilla chips and hummus and raw kale salad.
Wildest dream: To be a public figure in mainstream American, while sharing with people that healthy eating isn't hard and doesn't require deprivation.
Health concerns I've cleared up: My own weight issues, chronic sinus infections, fatigue and hypoglycemia.
Nutrition education is important because: We are all responsible for our bodies and how well they thrive. Without the education, it can be more difficult to truly know what works best for you.
What I love about Integrative Nutrition: Everything! I cherish my time at IIN as the best time of my life and recommend it to anyone interested in nutrition. I wouldn't be in business if it weren’t for Integrative Nutrition! IIN inspired me to not only transform my life, but to help others do the same. I've gotten a lot of inspiration and information out of watching fellow IIN grads.
About My Practice
My specialty: Helping busy women naturally lose 15-25 pounds without dieting. Clients also experience more energy, more mental clarity and focus.
What my clients love about my program: We discuss so much more than just food. We talk about everything from their jobs and relationships, to their ultimate goals in life and their spirituality.
My favorite juicy question to ask my clients is: What do you want for yourself instead of what you're experiencing right now?
In addition to seeing clients, I also: Write, blog, create video series, develop recipes, and cook.
What I love about what I do: Health coaching keeps me on my toes. It's never dull, never boring. And I love running a business and being my own boss. I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life. I feel great and I help other people do the same. I never thought I would have such a rewarding career.
My greatest success so far: Being asked to speak to a room full of California Highway Patrol officers about good nutrition.
The message I want to get out: Being healthy is fun!
My favorite inspirational quote: "Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage." — Maya Angelou
