Job: Founder and Principal Health Coach at Beaming With Health
Favorite foods: Sweet potato chips and tahini (not necessarily together).
Favorite activity outside of work: Dance, of all kinds. When I was a child. I wanted to grow up and be a professional dancer.
Wildest dream: To have my own health-oriented talk show.
Health concerns I've cleared up: Overcoming my own health issues. Severe digestive issues, chronic fatigue, anemia, heavy metals toxicity, adrenal fatigue and hypoglycemia
Nutrition education is important because: It allows people to heal and set themselves up for a life free from chronic disease. I love those when times I suddenly can see a change or shift in energy and general demeanor of my clients because they are feeling so much better!
What I love about Integrative Nutrition: I wanted to learn about several dietary theories. I love the business support IIN provides and I love the community of amazing people I have been able to interact with. I also love the approach of bio-individuality. There are so many diets out there now that don't work for most people. I love the idea of listening to your body finding what works best for you!
About My Practice
My specialty: Busy professionals and people with digestive issues or chronic fatigue. People come away with more energy, less digestive issues and a renewed excitement for cooking and their health.
What my clients love about my program: I take confusing information and break it down in a way that they can clearly understand. They also love all the new foods I recommend and my humorous, down to earth approach to health.
My favorite juicy question to ask my clients is: What is truly standing in your way of making that change?
What I love about what I do: The amazing people I get to work with, the flexibility, the creativity (I never thought I was a creative person until I found this career) and the ability to work on myself while making a living.
How my life has changed: My life is happier, more balanced, way more exciting, I meet more people that I resonate with, more opportunities come my way now then ever before!!
How I am making a difference in my community: I volunteer for an organization called NFTE, which helps young entrepreneurs set up their business plans. I donate my services to be used in silent auctions at various charity events. I also feed my friends who don't cook and often eat junky health food.
My greatest success so far: Establishing a great client base and securing several partnerships to do workshops, lectures, and group programs. But most of all, the amazing improvements my clients have made.
The message I want to get out: I want people to understand how simple health really can be. We can easily prevent chronic diseases like cancer and diabetes by just slowing down, listening to our bodies, feeding ourselves nourishing food, and surrounding ourselves loving people.
My favorite inspirational quote: “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” —Steve Jobs
