Job: Founder of Mama Glow
Favorite foods: Kale chips. Chia pudding.
Wildest dream: To launch an international film festival that brings awareness to maternal issues.
Nutrition education is important because: People should be empowered when they make choices around food. What you eat becomes your blood, thoughts and actions.
What I love about Integrative Nutrition: The community and the holistic approach and methodology. Launching a business that is focused on what I loved—helping others through nutrition—made sense to me. And IIN helped me do that.
About My Practice
My specialty: Prenatal and postnatal wellness.
The top three results my clients get from working with me are: a healthy diet leading to preferred weight, happy pregnancy, improved relationship with self-esteem
What my clients love about my program: I give lots of personal attention and I provide result-oriented service so that my clients feel nurtured. The program is very tailored to their needs.
My favorite juicy question to ask my clients is: Who are you and what do you love? What's your BOLD mission in life?
In addition to seeing clients, I also: Attend births as a labor coach, teach yoga, teach cooking classes and enjoy time with my son.
What I love about what I do: I help women embrace the most transformative process of our lives, the rite of passage into motherhood. I meet beautiful babies and help women reclaim and nurture themselves as whole beings.
How my life has changed: I have more financial freedom and control in my life. I'm a single mother and happy about it.
How I am making a difference in my community: I am helping young women reclaim their bodies through holistic nutrition and yoga. I work with a girls’ club to implement yoga and wellness programming for young women so that they can honor themselves inside out.
My greatest success so far: Natural birth of my son. My son. My television appearances, including the Dr. Oz show. And my forthcoming book on pregnancy.
In the future, I see myself: On television and radio reaching massive audiences with my work, authoring several books and DVDs and, helping to shift the planet one belly at a time.
My favorite inspirational quote: “Do what you love, with who you love.”—Anonymous
