Job: Author, Educator, Speaker, Health Counselor
Favorite food: Pizza and kale – separately or better yet, together!
Favorite activity outside of work: Just about anything that involves my children, but running and skiing are high on the list!
Health concerns I've cleared up: Nutrition knowledge is the greatest tool that empowers us to make healthy choices. It’s helped me regulate my cholesterol and support healthy thyroid function exclusively with diet, exercise and lifestyle choices.
What I love about Integrative Nutrition: The network of incredible people who are all out there working together to create so much good health and well being for our communities and our planet. Interestingly, the real reason I ended up at IIN (other than to further my study of nutrition) did not become apparent until many years after I graduated.
About My Practice
My favorite juicy question to ask my clients is: I don't have juicy questions, just an open heart and the desire to take it one step at a time.
In addition to seeing clients, I also: Offer corporate wellness programs, public speaking engagements, business coaching and a variety of classes focused on nutrition and cooking.
What I love about what I do: I really do love just about everything that I do, but nothing makes me happier than connecting with individuals or groups and knowing that I have inspired them to change for the better. Sharing this passion and journey is an incredible gift.
How my life has changed: I went from being a stay home mom focused on healing my two young daughters, to running a small health counseling and cooking class business, to being a bestselling author leading the CLEAN FOOD movement!
How I am making a difference in my community: I offer countless educational programs to inspire and empower change, to support local farms and healers and to connect all those in my local community, and I do the same on a much larger scale through travel and social media.
The message I want to get out: Eat clean, live well!
My favorite inspirational quote: “In life, you will not be remembered for the challenges you faced, but for what you chose to do when faced with them.” - My dad
