New Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen Lists for 2018

The Environmental Working Group recently updated its annual Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen lists. The EWG first created the Dirty Dozen to help shoppers identify which fruits and vegetables are highest in pesticides. The info has helped empower shoppers to reduce the amount of pesticides in their diet by raising awareness of which foods contain the highest levels.

If you’re trying to reduce your exposure to pesticides, items high on the Dirty Dozen can either be avoided or purchased organically. Also helpful, the Clean Fifteen list ranks produce grown using conventional methods but with low levels of pesticide residue.
