You'll actively participate in small group calls twice a week with your experienced course instructor and classmates, giving you 18 hours of live support and practice time! We'll also provide a comprehensive overview of important coaching tools and processes, including motivational interviewing, helping clients through the stages of change, and masterfully using communication skills, such as mirroring, reflecting, and powerful questioning. You’ll feel more confident in guiding your clients on a path toward positive change and will understand the true value of your profession.

What You’ll Learn

Understanding the Unique Value of a Health Coach

We’ll explore the definitions of what Health and Wellness Coaching is, and compare it with other professions so you develop a clear understanding of what it isn’t. This will help you identify the true value of your profession, why health coaching is changing the landscape of the healthcare industry, and all that you have to offer your clients.

The Client-Coach Relationship

You’ll learn how to properly prepare for your client sessions, so you. We’ll also provide you with an in-depth overview of the three phases of a coaching relationship, and the tools and processes to use in each phase to create the most impactful results. You'll understand the importance of creating a safe space for your clients, and how being fully present sets the stage for what’s to come.

Effective Communication

The power of coaching unfolds in the dialogue between coach and client. Communication is key in establishing a successful client-coach relationship and we’ll provide you with effective ways to help clients open up, feel understood, be prompted to go deeper, weigh their alternatives, and move forward when they’re stuck. By the end of the course, you’ll have a complete set of tools for communicating directly and purposefully with your clients.

Creating Awareness and Inspiring Change

As the coach, you can guide your clients on a path towards better health and happiness, but you can’t do it for them. Your role as a Health Coach is to help them feel empowered to take action on their own, knowing that you’ll always be there in case they slip up or fall behind. By using a bio-individual approach of meeting each client where they’re at, you’ll help your clients gain greater awareness around their habits, emotions, and motivation for wanting to cultivate change.

Guiding Your Clients Towards Sustainable Change

Some of your clients will resistant change more than others. However, as a Health Coach, you have the knowledge and advanced coaching skills you need to help guide those who feel more stuck than others. We’ll teach you how to use an evidenced-based process for inspiring change called Motivational Interviewing, and dive into the most effective ways to help clients track their progress and monitor accountability.

FAQ Launch Your Dream Book New

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have writing experience to take this course?

While we do not teach you HOW to write, we do give you support and guidance around choosing a topic, creating and revising an outline, and creating writing prompts to easily get your book written. We also suggest a variety of resources that can help you dive deeper into your writing. We have had everything from first-time writers to journalists in the course. This is a great way to get your message out there in writing, if writing is not your forte. No matter what path you choose, we’ll support you in getting your book done and published.

Is this course strictly for books about health and nutrition?

No. This course is for anyone who wants to write a book, period. In previous classes, we’ve guided students to publish cookbooks, self-help books, children’s books, novels, and more. No matter what your topic, we will teach you to write, publish, and market the book of your dreams.

What if I don’t have an idea for a book yet? Will the course help me develop an idea?

Yes. While most of our students have a concept in mind when they enroll, the first portion of the course focuses on helping you refine your topic, envision your ideal reader, and get clear on your “beyond the book” goals. Additionally, the coaching you’ll receive throughout the program will help you flesh out your ideas every step of the way.

Will this course be graded?

Unlike our other advanced courses, the Launch Your Dream Book Course isn’t graded. Because the focus of the course is on writing, publishing, and promoting your own book, there are no written tests. The more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it!

How much is tuition? Are there payment plans?

Tuition for the Shared Learning Experience is $995 for students who pay in full. We also offer three payment plans for those who prefer to pay their tuition in installments. Students can choose to pay two installments of $550, three installments of $375, or $99 down with six installments of $175. For the Self-Paced Learning Experience, students are required to pay the full amount of $695 upon enrollment.

Why is there a price difference between Supported Learning and Self-Paced Learning? What's different?

While both courses have 20 modules and contain the same valuable video content, handouts, exericses, and bonus library, the Supported Learning Experience includes live components that the Self-Paced Learning Experience does not. With Supported Learning, you'll get access to six live calls and daily Facebook group support, which will help you connect and build a support network with your classmates and course moderator. You'll also be guided each week and will be provided with more structure, while Self-Paced Learning gives you the flexbility to learn at your own pace and on your own time.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling?

No! Anyone can enroll in the Launch Your Dream Book Course, whether you're a first-time writer or seasoned author. You don't have to be a student or graduate of the Health Coach Training Program like some of our other advanced courses require.
