What you’ll learn

What is emotional eating?
Learn the signs of emotional eating plus dive into key differences between emotional eating and eating disorders, supporting yourself and clients within your scope of practice as a Health Coach.
Root causes and triggers of emotional eating
From stress and lack of sleep to body “ideals” and diet culture, we’ll deconstruct common biases and norms that fuel unhealthy habits. Plus develop a deep understanding of your relationship with food.
Cravings, sugar, and listening to your body
Cravings often signal emotional or psychological hunger, stemming from dehydration, boredom, hormones, and more. Be empowered to shift your mindset and break habits that may cause health issues.
Nourishment beyond food
We’ll encourage you to create a more vibrant life through self-healing tools found off your plate, including nurturing relationships, self-care, and more. A well-rounded you is a more balanced you!
Integrate emotional eating into your practice
Take bio-individuality one step further in your coaching sessions, giving you the tools to confidently coach clients on the complexities around food choices and their emotional well-being.

What do I need to get started?


In order to successfully take and complete IIN's Emotional Eating Course, you must speak English as this course is entirely in English. Aside from that, this seven-month course is open to anyone! While we encourage students to have a foundational knowledge of what health coaching is, you don't need to be an IIN student or graduate to enroll.
