At one point in our lives, many of us have found ourselves stuck in a cycle of unhealthy eating patterns. From daily stressors and family traditions to cultural norms, fad diets, and perceived body ideals, we may have used or currently use food in a variety of ways including:
- For a purpose other than nourishment or satiation
- As a coping mechanism for emotions that you don’t want to feel
- To feel better, self-soothe, numb, or fill a void
- To feel some sense of control over our lives
In this course, we’ll provide you with in-depth knowledge on what emotional eating is, and the triggers, cravings, and feelings associated with it. You’ll learn coaching strategies to help loved ones and clients get to the root of their compulsive eating patterns, so that they can break the cycle for good. You'll lead others on a journey of self-awareness and self-empowerment by guiding them on how to find nourishment beyond food.
