I spent years in a corporate job that left me drained, inflamed, and disconnected from my own health. My husband encouraged me to explore IIN, and it opened a door I didn’t even know was there—a calling to support others while honoring my own well-being. Saying yes to this path meant putting myself first, listening inward, and stepping into work that truly mattered.
After completing The Health Coach Training Program™ and the Hormone Health Course, I didn’t just gain knowledge—I discovered how to turn my own transformation into guidance for others. Today, through my work with clients navigating pregnancy, perimenopause, and mental health challenges, I help women find balance, make mindful choices, and create lasting wellness that touches their families and communities.
YOU’VE SHARED THAT YOUR HUSBAND PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN INTRODUCING YOU TO IIN. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THAT MOMENT AND WHAT HE SAW IN YOU BEFORE YOU SAW IT YOURSELF?
A: My incredible husband actually played a huge role in this chapter of my life. He saw something in me before I was ready to name it myself. I was constantly talking about food, hormones, wellness, workouts, and helping people feel better, but I treated it only like a hobby. When he introduced me to IIN, it felt like him saying, “This isn’t random. This is who you already are.”
WHAT FINALLY GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO LEAVE YOUR CORPORATE JOB AND SAY YES TO SOMETHING THAT FELT MORE ALIGNED?
A: Leaving my corporate job didn’t happen overnight. What gave me permission was realizing that staying was costing me my health. I was exhausted, burned out, and very disconnected from myself. Choosing something more aligned wasn’t about walking away; it was about finally choosing me.
BEST DECISION YOU EVER MADE?
A: Leaving my draining corporate job that did not fulfill me and saying yes to IIN has changed my life for the better in countless ways.
WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST CAREER AMBITION?
A: To make a positive impact by providing valuable health information and support to help others live their best balanced lives.
YOU’VE DESCRIBED YOUR CORPORATE ROLE AS EXHAUSTING AND MISALIGNED. HOW DID THAT CHAPTER IMPACT YOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING?
A: That corporate chapter deeply impacted my health. Chronic stress showed up everywhere—my hormones, sleep, mood, digestion, and energy. I was functioning, but I truly wasn’t thriving.
WHAT DID IT FEEL LIKE TO PUT YOURSELF FIRST—PERHAPS FOR THE FIRST TIME—AND BEGIN LISTENING INWARD?
A: Putting myself first in this stage of life and new to motherhood felt unfamiliar at first and honestly, uncomfortable. But once I started listening inward instead of pushing through, everything shifted. That choice opened doors I never expected. I learned that when you choose alignment, clarity follows.
IF YOU COULD TELL YOUR PAST SELF ANYTHING WHEN STARTING YOUR JOURNEY, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
A: I would tell myself, "You can do anything! You are meant to be here and now. Let go of your worries and lean into the newness, even if it’s scary. You have to start somewhere, and now is the time!"
HOW DID YOUR OWN WELLNESS JOURNEY SHAPE THE KIND OF COACH YOU WANTED TO BECOME?
A: I didn’t want to be someone who just handed out protocols. I wanted to support women with compassion, flexibility, and real-life understanding.
WHAT LED YOU TO SHARE YOUR JOURNEY SO OPENLY WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS, COWORKERS, AND CLIENTS?
A: I began sharing my journey because I realized how many women felt alone in theirs. When I began writing my book Healthy Mommy, Happy Family, this was exactly what I had in mind.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO “PASS IT ON” THROUGH THE WORK YOU DO TODAY?
A: “Passing it on” means turning what I learned the more exhaustive way into a softer path for someone else.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE JUST STARTING TO LEARN ABOUT HORMONES?
A: The body is always changing. Our hormones will fluctuate, and it’s not normal to feel awful. It is possible to make improvements with the right measures in place by taking good care of ourselves both on and off our plates.
WHAT DO YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT WOMEN'S HEALTH?
A: I wish mothers and women knew that the journey of pregnancy and postpartum is ongoing, and you are NOT alone. Women need support and community during all phases of hormone transitions. This is not a one-size-fits-all community; it’s a safe space to share, learn, and grow together.
TELL US ABOUT SHERGOODHEALTH AND THE MISSION BEHIND YOUR WORK.
A: SherGoodHealth was created to help women reconnect with their bodies, balance hormones naturally, and feel mentally and physically strong through every season of life.
YOU SPECIALIZE IN SUPPORTING MOTHERS THROUGH PREGNANCY AND PERIMENOPAUSE. WHY DOES THIS SEASON OF LIFE FEEL SO MEANINGFUL TO YOU?
A: I specialize in these because these seasons [of life] are powerful, vulnerable, and deeply deserving of care.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB?
A: I LOVE SUPPORTING WOMEN! I am passionate about my girl gang and being a positive outlet that encourages and meets people where they are in their journey.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HEALTHY SNACK?
A: That’s a tough one because I love my snacks! My absolute favorites are smoothies and Greek yogurt bowls. I often make an unflavored organic Greek yogurt bowl and top it with a cup of organic blueberries, organic local honey, chia seeds, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds. I like to add a small scoop of organic peanut butter and a few dark chocolate chips, too. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and salty, plus it’s great for gut and hormone health! You’ll be hooked!
WHAT ITEM CAN'T YOU LIVE WITHOUT?
A: Oh, this is a hard one! My yoga mat and weights—does that count as two? I use them every day!
WHAT ARTIST OR BAND DO YOU LISTEN TO WHEN YOU NEED TO STAY MOTIVATED?
A: This is a great question! I love all music but tend to lean towards country music that gets me energized and makes me want to sing and dance along (even if I’m just sitting). It always puts me in a GOOD mood!
A BOOK OR PODCAST YOU’D RECOMMEND TO SOMEONE?
A: The Inner Work. My husband got me this book for Christmas a few years ago, and I love the self-healing it promotes. It beautifully helps you tap into your inner fears and desires and work through traumas to live your most peaceful, joyful life.
IF YOU COULD BE ANY FRUIT OR VEGGIE, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
A: My husband will laugh, but I’d be spinach! I love my greens and use them in everything—eggs, protein bowls, smoothies—you name it, I find a way to sneak it in!
YOU’VE WORKED IN AN INTEGRATIVE MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC SUPPORTING CLIENTS REVERSING DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY. HOW DID THAT EXPERIENCE SHAPE YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF HOLISTIC HEALTH?
A: [It taught me that] Depression and anxiety are rarely isolated issues. People’s hormones, nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress all play a role.
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD ABOUT THE CONNECTION BETWEEN MENTAL HEALTH, HORMONES, AND LIFESTYLE?
A: Mental health symptoms are often signals, not failures. When clients feel like they’ve tried everything, I remind them they haven’t failed—the approach just didn’t fit their body.
WHAT’S ONE COMMON MYTH ABOUT HORMONE HEALTH THAT YOU'D LIKE TO DEBUNK?
A: Hormonal fluctuations can happen at many different phases of life, not just during menopause. Understanding these changes and working with a health coach can help you listen inward and find the root of the changes for each individual.
WHICH IIN COURSE(S) HAVE YOU TAKEN, AND WHICH DO YOU WANT TO TAKE NEXT?
A: I completed my Health Coaching Certification and, more recently, the Hormone Health Course! I couldn’t wait to dive deeper into learning and expand my knowledge to better support my clients!
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE THOSE COURSES?
A: I felt destined to be a health coach, so the health coaching certification made complete sense. It’s truly a calling I didn’t realize I had! The Hormone Health Course is just the icing on the cake for me, allowing me to support myself, my loved ones, and my clients more effectively.
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO TRUST INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION WITH YOUR EDUCATION?
A: I trusted IIN because it aligned with how I already viewed health—integrative, non-dogmatic, and rooted in bio-individuality. IIN is known as a vehicle for change in the future. Health coaches are NEEDED, and I knew that receiving my education and certification through a well-known and esteemed institution would provide me with the best experience from countless educators!
HOW DID YOUR IIN TRAINING HELP YOU STEP CONFIDENTLY INTO YOUR PURPOSE?
A: The Health Coach Training Program gave me the confidence and language to step fully into my purpose.
WAS THERE A LESSON OR MOMENT DURING YOUR STUDIES THAT TRULY CHANGED HOW YOU SEE HEALTH?
A: One of the biggest shifts for me was realizing that food is only one piece of the puzzle. Stress, relationships, purpose, and mindset are just as powerful.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST MEANINGFUL PART OF THIS JOURNEY SO FAR?
A: The most meaningful part of this journey has been watching women, especially mothers, trust in themselves again.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO FEELS SCARED TO PUT THEIR OWN NEEDS FIRST?
A: If you’re scared to put yourself first, start small. Listening to your body isn’t selfish; it’s essential.
IF YOU COULD GO BACK AND SPEAK TO YOURSELF ON DAY ONE OF THIS JOURNEY, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
A: If I could speak to myself on day one, I’d say: “You’re not behind. You’re actually just becoming. Trust your body. Trust your life’s timing. Keep going—it’s going to be better than you thought.”
