Health Coach Training Program 2026 Updates

The Health Coach Training Program  continues to evolve alongside the health and wellness field. Below are answers to common questions about what’s new in the 2026 curriculum and what it means for future students and alumni.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s new in the Health Coach Training Program for 2026?

The 2026 Health Coach Training Program includes new lectures led by Visiting Faculty, covering timely topics such as GLP-1 medications, perimenopause and menopause, cardiovascular health, the oral microbiome, nutrition and dental health, and ethical use of AI in coaching. These updates strengthen the curriculum while preserving the program’s core foundations.

Why was the curriculum updated?

Health coaching clients are navigating more complex and current wellness topics than ever before. These updates ensure graduates feel informed, confident, and prepared to support modern clients—while staying firmly within the ethical scope of health coaching.

Does this change the structure or length of the program?

No. The structure, pacing, and certification pathway remain the same. The new content is integrated directly into existing modules throughout the course.

Who teaches the new content?

The new lectures are led by new expert Visiting Faculty:

  • Jessica Brown, clinical nutritionist, covering GLP-1s, perimenopause, menopause, and cardiovascular health
  • Dr. Staci Whitman, functional dentist, teaching oral microbiome health, nutrition and dental health, and airway considerations
  • Rebecca Rutschmann, AI expert, guiding ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence in coaching

Is this medical or diagnostic training?

No. The Health Coach Training Program does not train students to diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions. The new content provides foundational understanding, coaching frameworks, and guidance on when to refer clients to qualified healthcare professionals.

Why does the program include GLP-1 medications?

GLP-1 medications are increasingly part of today’s health conversations. Coaches are not taught to recommend or manage these medications, but to understand how they work, what clients may experience, and how to provide ethical, compassionate support within scope.

What will I learn about perimenopause and menopause?

The curriculum explores how hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause affect appetite, gut health, metabolism, and cardiovascular risk—offering a holistic framework for supporting clients (and yourself) through this life stage.

Why is oral health included in a health coaching program?

Oral health plays a meaningful role in whole-body wellness, influencing digestion, inflammation, hormones, and cardiovascular health. Understanding these connections allows coaches to take a more integrative approach to supporting clients.

What is included in the AI content?

The AI module introduces how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly to support coaching businesses, professional growth, and client experience. It focuses on awareness, ethics, and practical first steps—use of AI tools is optional.
