Whether a fashion exec or holistic health coach, Jasmine “Coach Jaz” Graham’s instinct has always been to think differently and create boldly. After 15 years of working for major fashion brands including DKNY, Liz Claiborne, Calvin Klein, FUBU and Rocawear, she was laid off in May 2008 as a result of the financial crash, which became an opportunity to build a new career living out her passion for health and fitness. She became an ACE-certified trainer with additional certifications in kettlebell instruction and TRX suspension training. She’s also an RRCA-certified running coach and has run numerous marathons.
In November 2008 she started runners bootcamps in Prospect Pk and the Westside Greenway as part of her new company Pace For Success, which quickly gained her a large following from the running community. In September of 2012 she opened Fit Factory NYC, a boutique fitness studio. Not only did she host her Pace For Success classes here, she also offered it as a home for independent trainers to build their business through personal training and group fitness classes. It was an imaginative way to foster New York City’s fitness community, co-op-style. In 2017, she opened Fitness Sanctuary steps away from Times Square in the Garment District, landing her back in her old stomping grounds from when she was a fashion exec.
Jaz’s entrepreneurial endeavors and creative approach to health and fitness have earned her coverage in Runners World, Vibe, Ebony and Sports Insight. Fit Factory was such a unique space that VH1's Love and Hip Hop: New York, OWN Network, and NBC’s weekday show New York Live all reached out to shoot in the space. She’s given lectures at the Mania/SCW Education fitness conferences empowering fitness professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit. She’s been on various fitness and business panels, hosted her own seminars for fitness enthusiasts that want to transition to fitness professionals or own their own gym and her financial fitness for fit pro’s seminar has been very successful.
Jaz is now an Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach focusing on Women's Health. After she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune in 2017, she realized the effects of stress on hormones in the female body. She looked for ways to alleviate her symptoms and heal her body, and the road to becoming a Health Coach transformed her life even further. Her passion to help women transform their mind and body was ignited further during this journey.
From the onset, she is shown a strong focus on social justice and community. For ten years, she’s coached runners for Team Yachad, a global nonprofit that addresses the needs of disabled Jewish young people, for the Miami Marathon. For over a decade she hosted a holiday gift drive for the Incarnation Center, an orphanage in Washington Heights for children and teens with HIV/AIDS. She continues to partner with various organizations to bring the positive message of healthy living to their participants.
Jaz has devoted 13 years to empowering people to feel strong, healthy, focused and fit and plans to continue for decades to come. Follow her on IG:@coachjaz & see all her available programs at https://www.jasminegraham.life/.
