Q: What were you doing prior to enrolling at Integrative Nutrition?
A: Before enrolling at Integrative Nutrition in 2011, I was working as a CPA with Ernst & Young, a big four accounting firm in Tampa, Florida.

Q: What led you to explore the Health Coach Training Program?
A: In 2005, I lost my 47-year-old mother to a rare form of liver cancer. As a sophomore in college, I was faced with a difficult road to understanding what happened to her, and in turn, I became committed to finding true answers to her illness and my own health challenges and discovering what life outside the corporate world would look like.

Q: How has your life changed since becoming a Health Coach?
A: Since becoming a holistic Health Coach, my life has changed drastically because I am no longer the person I used to be. I now realize that everything is connected – our path and purpose here on earth is much greater than what society labels as “success.” IIN helped me solve the puzzle I had been trying to solve on my own around our interconnectedness: our careers, relationships, spirituality, physical activity, nutrition, and the roles each play as we work to achieve optimal health. It was through this invaluable holistic education where everything clicked. Helping others become rich in mind, body, and spirit became my life’s work, and this new mind-set paved the way for me to live out my calling each and every day.

Q: Which topics and modules were most beneficial for you?
A: All the topics and modules were beneficial to me because I was able to pick out different things that were applicable to my life. One of my favorite topics was food energetics, where we learned that we are what we eat and our food becomes our blood, our thoughts, and our feelings. It blew my mind!

Q: What does a typical day look like for you now?
A: A typical day for me now begins with morning meditation, prayer, and fasting followed by green juice, exercise, and a post-workout superfood smoothie. Once I finish my sweat session, I flow into Miami Wellness Club work, broken up by a fresh and healthy organic meal, and winding down the day either catching up with family and friends, reading a new book, watching a mind-expanding movie, or getting to bed early, which is so important for our bodies!

Q: What makes you and your practice unique?
A: My approach and philosophy toward wellness is simple yet effective. The body is the only true place we get to live in this world. By taking good care of our bodies and applying a holistic approach, we can achieve amazing, long-lasting results and create a contagious positive ripple effect in the process.

At Miami Wellness Club, we’re passionate about taking the health of our clients to the next level. With so much of the world focused on quick-fix solutions and short-term results, we offer a more balanced and long-lasting approach. We believe that simple, straightforward actions applied consistently over time are the keys to overcoming the greatest health challenges. We’re completely committed to clients experiencing their ultimate transformation because when they live their best life, everyone wins.

Q: How do you help your clients be successful? Is there a recent example that stands out for you?
A: Our unique work with individuals is focused on the transformation of mind, body, and spirit. By working hand-in-hand with clients, we guide them to become aware of their daily choices and obstacles, all while providing the necessary tools and resources for them to reach their health and wellness goals.

A recent example that stands out to us is a client who had been trying to get pregnant for some time with no success. By working with us, she transitioned toward a healthier way of life and became pregnant with her second child, whom she gave birth to earlier in the year. It’s in these small victories where the validity of our work is confirmed and gives us the courage and hope to continue walking forward in faith.

Q: What do you love about your work?
A: I love helping people become better versions of themselves – true transformation of mind, body, and spirit is a euphoric and priceless feeling.

Q: How have you seen the need for Health Coaches change over the years?
A: When I graduated back in 2012, the term Health Coach was still very new and met with a lot of resistance. Fast-forward to today, and it is inspiring to see how mainstream and widely accepted holistic health coaching is becoming. The opportunities for Health Coaches are also expanding as traditional institutions are recognizing the value of our work and the impact it has on building healthy and sustainable communities that are good for both people and the planet.

Q: What’s your tip for balancing your family, work, and personal wellness?
A: My tip for balancing my family, work, and personal wellness is all based on alignment. When I set out to do this work many years ago, I sat down and crafted a clear mission, vision, and goals. This clarity enables me and everything around me to be synchronized – for what is synchronized is naturally balanced. It will take time to get everyone on board your wellness boat so to speak, but it makes the greatest difference.

Q: Tell us your favorite way to wake up each day!
A: My favorite way to wake up each day is in meditation, prayer, and fasting. I am fascinated with the stillness and quietness of a beautiful morning spent outdoors – they are full of miracles that carry on into my day and flow into the lives of others.
