Day 1 of the conference was jam packed with inspirational moments from visionaries in the field of health, wellness, and business.
We kicked things off on a high inspirational note with our first speaker Chris Guillebeau, author of the New York Times bestsellers The $100 Startup and The Happiness of Pursuit, who shared with our community all about the value and benefits of a side hustle (and how to discover what it should be!)
“Inspiration combined with action is better” – Chris Guillebeau
Next we welcomed Lesley James, MD, a board certified family physician with a special passion for the intersection between science and nature. Dr. James shared with us all about women’s health and the importance of the female cycle.
“The menstrual cycle is a barometer, a vital sign, for how we look at women and women’s health from an individual perspective, but also from a global perspective.” – Lesley James, MD
In the afternoon, we experienced a relaxing and centering guided meditation thanks to the talents of Andres Gonzalez from the Holistic Life Foundation, Inc. a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization committed to nurturing the wellness of children and adults in underserved communities.
"Love is the most powerful force in the universe" - Holistic Life Foundation, Inc.
Then we met the passionate and insightful, Elizabeth DiAlto, creator of Wild Soul Movement, a grounded and loving practice designed to get you out of your head and into your body! Elizabeth’s message was simple "I am enough, I have enough, I do enough." Check out this incredible behind the scenes clip from our backstage interview with Elizabeth where we talk about redefining femininity!
"Less control. More magic!" - Elizabeth DiAlto
We wrapped up the afternoon with valuable lectures from PR expert Cristina Gordon who shared 6 steps to becoming your own publicist and Jonathan Fields founder of the Good Life Project, a media and education venture and global movement that empowers people to live more meaningful, connected, and vital lives who shared all about how to authentically create your business.
"When you align your actions with your essence, you become a beacon that amplifies your presence" - Jonathan Fields
And that was just Day 1! (Find out what a couple of our students thought about Day 1 here!)
On Day 2 we spent the morning with integrative medicine pioneer, Andrew Weil, M.D. who shared his unique insight and perspective on preventative health and wellness.
“We must restore the emphasis on the intrinsic healing ability of the human organism.” - Andrew Weil, M.D.
In the afternoon, we got our blood pumping with founder of Shrink Sessions Erin Stutland who shared a simple workout you can do anywhere! Then we smiled with joy at the passion of Soul Camp founders, Ali Leipzig and Michelle Blum as they shared all about an important piece of primary food: your social life! And last but very definitely not least we met Manisha Thakor, who gave seven action steps to develop financial empowerment for health coaches.
It truly was a weekend like no other.
