In the U.S. alone, $4 trillion will be spent on health care just this year. Sadly, only 2% goes towards prevention. At Integrative Nutrition, we want to make healthy more affordable by working with United States Senators and Representatives to include health coaching as an allowable pre-tax expense in the Health Savings Acts (HSA) of 2016!
That’s why we’ve initiated a petition to support the Health Savings Acts of 2016 and the need for Health Coaches.
As our Founder Joshua Rosenthal, says “We’re inundated with unhealthy options. We need to educate the public on how to choose healthier options. Healthy should be incentivized and not penalized.”
That is why we are working tirelessly to improve access to health and wellness and lower the cost of wellness expenses.
With this bill, Congress is recognizing the crucial role Health Coaches play in preventative health, reducing health care costs and improving overall health.
If passed, the legislation would allow individuals to use pre-tax funds in their Health Savings or Flexible Spending Accounts to pay for a variety of new wellness services, including health coaching!
