The Coaching Intensive Practicum is IIN’s NBHWC-approved training program. This course will satisfy the education requirements needed to apply to take the NBHWC’s exam to become a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). The NBHWC continues to gain worldwide recognition as a key player in advancing the credibility of the health coaching field, and their board certification is regarded as a global benchmark of professional coach training.

Does completing this course automatically qualify me to take the credentialing exam?

No. Upon successful completion of this course, IIN graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the certification exam offered by the NBHWC. Students interested in applying should consult the NBHWC in advance of their course graduation date to take note of application requirements and registration deadlines.

 

I’m not sure if I want to take the credentialing exam. Are there any other benefits of taking this course?

Yes! This course can benefit any Health Coach who wants to learn about evidence-based best practices for working with clients and have an opportunity to practice their skills and receive constructive feedback in an intimate learning environment.
 

How much is tuition? Does it cover the cost of the exam application?

Tuition for the program is $1,995. You can either pay in full or apply for a flexible payment plan through Affirm. The application and exam fees collected by the NBHWC during the application process are unrelated to, and not included in, the tuition for this course.
 

What title do I earn after taking this course?

This course meets the educational prerequisites for graduates to apply for the NBHWC certification exam. IIN graduates of the Health Coach Training Program (HCTP) will be awarded the title of IIN Certified Professional Health Coach, along with a certificate. Individuals who are not graduates of the HCTP will not qualify for this title; however, they’ll receive a digital certificate of completion for the Coaching Intensive Practicum. It’s important to note that completing this course does not confer certification or guarantee acceptance to the NBHWC exam.
