Formerly called the Emotional Eating Course, the new and improved Mindful Eating Course will teach you how to find nourishment on and off your plate and will empower you to create practices that improve your relationship with food.

What you’ll learn
Enhance mindfulness around your food-related behaviors, biology, and beliefs through self-awareness practices, self-compassion, and an exploration of your own food narrative.
From stress and lack of sleep to body “ideals” and diet culture, we’ll deconstruct common biases and norms that fuel unhelpful habits. Plus, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of your relationship with food.
Eating for both health and pleasure can coexist! Learn to deconstruct your cravings, find a more intuitive middle ground with food, and be empowered to shift your mindset and break habits that may lead to health issues.

Course overview
Gain in-depth knowledge of factors that influence your food relationship, including emotional eating. Learn coaching strategies to support yourself and others as a Health Coach to find the root of compulsive eating patterns and get empowered to find nourishment beyond food.
Modules 1-3
-Gain a robust understanding of your emotions, the ins and outs of emotional eating, and the impact stress has on your food relationship.
-Learn the key differences between emotional and physical hunger, how to break the "stress cycle," and the important role of a Health Coach in addressing emotional eating.
Modules 4-6
-Explore the connection between weight and emotional eating and review holistic factors that impact body weight.
-Write your own food narrative and uncover underlying themes and beliefs that may be limiting your full potential.
Modules 7-9
-Discover how you can eat for both health and pleasure and how to navigate nutritional needs and cravings within the context of your food relationship.
-Learn about and practice eating with intention and mindfulness.
Modules 10-12
-Begin to piece together what you've learned to rewrite your eating story, find a more intuitive relationship with eating, and create a sustainable plan to work toward your ideal food relationship.
-Learn about deeper health coaching tactics that support clients with resistance, setbacks, or self-sabotage and receive tools to support your health coaching business.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of this course, you’ll receive a digital badge and certificate of completion. Share your credentials on LinkedIn or print your certificate and hang it in your home office! This is a great way to showcase and celebrate your continued education, success, and concentration on emotional eating.

What do I need to get started?
In order to successfully take and complete IIN’s Mindful Eating Course, you must speak English. Aside from that, this course is open to anyone! While we encourage students to have a foundational knowledge of what health coaching is, you don’t need to be an IIN student or graduate to enroll.
How will I learn?
Audio and video lectures provide an in-depth overview of emotional eating and tools for adopting a mindful eating approach so you can coach yourself or hone your skills as a Health Coach to support others on their journey to healing their relationship with food.
Each module includes guided journal pages for you to apply new concepts, track your progress, and reflect on your learning and growth as you go through the mindful eating framework for yourself.
Connect in real time for mentorship during regularly scheduled calls. Deepen your exploration in a safe space, both personally and professionally. Each call is recorded to revisit for continued motivation and inspiration.

Will this course be graded?
The course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Upon successful completion of the course (70% or higher on the final test), you will receive a certificate of completion.
What do I get when I complete this course?
At the end of the program, you’ll receive a digital certificate of completion and digital badge to publicly showcase your education. Because the course does not alter your scope of practice, your title won’t change.
