5 Exciting Careers Available to IIN Health Coach Program Graduates

One of the core principles we teach at IIN is bio-individuality – the idea that what works for one person may not work for another. This applies to everything, including your coaching practice and how you choose to spread the ripple effect. There are countless alternative wellness careers possible once you take the Health Coach Training Program (HCTP) at IIN. You have the opportunity to envision and manifest the career of your dreams – the sky is the limit!

As an HCTP graduate,it can be helpful to notice which career paths resonate with you and then consider the aspects of those careers that are most appealing and why. From there, you can synthesize these preferred qualities into a career that best suits your unique style!

Consider these wellness career ideas to get your creative juices flowing.

  1. Corporate Health Coach
It’s common for big companies (i.e., Google, Facebook, and Apple) to have Health Coaches on staff. As a corporate Health Coach, you can create programs that support employee well-being. Depending on the company and your area of expertise, this could mean meditation and fitness classes, one-on-one coaching, or cooking demonstrations.

  2. Health Coach at an Alternative Wellness Center
Alternative wellness centers frequently seek out Health Coaches to join their staff. As a Health Coach at a wellness center, you support clients in making the best lifestyle and food choices as well as empower them to consider health factors outside of nutrition (i.e., primary food – relationships, spirituality, joy, etc.).

  3. Health and Lifestyle Blogger
Today, people around the world are becoming increasingly interested in health and wellness. If you love to be creative, write, and inspire others, being a blogger may be a great option for you! As a health and lifestyle blogger, you could create a media hub for healthy living and collaborate with other online businesses and guest writers. You could also focus on a particular niche, such as gluten-free desserts or on-the-go wellness for single parents. There are as many blog ideas as there are people!

  4. Wellness Writer
Print and online publications often hire Health Coaches to write educated pieces on health and wellness. Consider magazines, blogs, and publications that appeal to your niche and passions. This is a great career choice for those who love to write and share their knowledge with others.

  5. Entrepreneur
Are you passionate, tenacious, and disciplined? Consider starting your own company around healthy living! For example, you might create your own food or beauty product, open a wellness center, or start a juice bar.

Want even more ideas? Here are eight additional health and wellness jobs to consider:

  • Book author
  • Podcast host
  • Health Coach at a doctor’s office
  • Mobile app creator
  • Chef
  • Health and wellness educator
  • Recipe creator

HCTP graduates have so many opportunities to manifest the job of their dreams. There are countless directions for a health coaching career, so the key is to follow your heart and intuition. Joseph Campbell said it best: “Follow your bliss.” When you are taking aligned action on your passions and doing so with the intention to serve yourself and others, you can’t go wrong!
