Heather Freudenthal
IIN Content Writer

Heather is a former filmmaker and film professor turned Health Coach. Before graduating from IIN’s Health Coach Training Program, she produced and edited three feature-length independent films and a handful of short documentaries. Now Heather is a practicing Health Coach with a focus on anxiety and emotional eating. She is also the author of Insatiable, a self-help/memoir hybrid that outlines her struggles with anxiety and eating disorders and her journey to recovery. Heather has a certification in biopsychosocial chronic pain management – simply put, the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to pain. She has a particular interest in the brain’s role in the interpretation and experience of pain and how it can apply to almost any ailment, including anxiety and digestive issues. When she’s not writing content for IIN, Heather loves to practice guitar and paint. Her artwork, along with gut-friendly recipes and various health-related blogs, can be found on her health coaching site, heathersarit.com.
