In our new Community Voices series, we’ll hear from Integrative Nutrition students and graduates about their experiences with our Health Coach Training Program – how illnesses have been healed, careers have been transformed, and lives have been altered.
IIN saved my life.
Apologies to get all dramatic in the first sentence, but it's true.
Before IIN, there was sickness, sadness and no soul... Ok, ok, so I had soul...and a heart, and there were moments of happiness, but you could say years of very little primary food - the kind of stuff that fills you up inside where food and money can't - had worn me down.
I was literally half the person I am now, and I was very, very small.
At the time my health hit rock bottom I was ready for a change. How I had been living no longer served me well, I was out of balance and needed to find a way to live with more understanding of myself and life in general.
It was around this time a desperate google search for answers revealed a place I could learn, laugh and live again. That was place was IIN.
The journey is almost over, I graduate in September BUT I am different.
No longer disillusioned, I am downright excited. I ditched the corporate soul-sucking job in Australia and I am living in New York, building on my IIN knowledge and Health Coaching skills to become a Natural Foods Chef.
Studying at IIN has given me a new lease on life. I am healed, invigorated and excited to pass on my IIN light, love and expertise to others in the hopes they can begin healing too.
I, Danielle Shine, am IIN it for life!
